The challenge

Sustainability stalls when it sits beside the strategy

Many organisations treat sustainability as a report, a project, or a department. Meanwhile the real choices about products, suppliers, and growth are made elsewhere. This workshop brings impact and business strategy into the same conversation, so sustainability shapes decisions instead of following them.

✓

What it is

A structured process to connect sustainability goals with business strategy, stakeholders, and concrete initiatives.

×

What it is not

Not a compliance audit, a reporting exercise, or a substitute for specialist legal or ESG advice.

Why it works

Impact and business, in one picture.

Team tracing connections on a large ecosystem map during a sustainability workshop

01

A system view

Mapping the wider ecosystem shows where value, resources, and impact really flow.

02

Stakeholders in focus

Making influence and interests visible helps decide who to involve and how.

03

Circular thinking

Circular design questions reveal new ways to create value with fewer resources.

04

Prioritised action

Initiatives are chosen for both impact and business value, not for good intentions alone.

Process

From ambition to a sustainability roadmap.

01

Frame

We clarify your sustainability ambitions, obligations, and the decisions the workshop must support.

02

Map

The group maps the ecosystem of actors, resources, and dependencies around your business.

03

Engage

Stakeholders are mapped by influence and interest, with their expectations made explicit.

04

Reimagine

Circular design questions open up new options for products, services, and partnerships.

05

Prioritise

Initiatives are assessed for impact, feasibility, and business value.

06

Commit

The chosen initiatives become a roadmap with owners, milestones, and measures.

FAQ

Questions before we start

Who should take part?

People who shape both strategy and sustainability: leadership, CSR or ESG leads, and key functions such as operations, procurement, or product.

Does this help with reporting obligations such as CSRD?

It helps connect sustainability to strategy and decisions. It does not replace specialist reporting, legal, or audit advice, which remains essential for compliance.

Does this workshop use LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®?

It can, when the group needs to build a shared picture of a complex system. The final mix of methods depends on your challenge and the time available.

Can it run online?

Yes. The in-person version typically runs over two days; the online version is spread over about four weeks of shorter sessions.

What happens after the workshop?

You receive the maps and roadmap from the session. A follow-up session can be added to review progress and adjust priorities.

Do we need sustainability expertise in the room?

It helps, but it is not a requirement. Where specialist knowledge is missing, we capture the open questions so they can be resolved after the session.

If sustainability keeps living in a separate report, bring it into the strategy.

When impact and business value sit in the same picture, better choices become possible. That is when sustainability stops being a promise and starts becoming practice.
